Feb 13: Woman From Waynesboro Arrested After Allegedly Using Daughter’s Breath To Start Vehicle With Ignition Interlock Device

A woman was arrested on DUI charges in early February after crashing her vehicle and then fleeing the scene of the accident.

According to reports, the crash occurred at approximately 11 p.m. on Monday, February 13th in the town of Quincy, Pennsylvania. A witness reportedly saw the woman urge her 8-year-old daughter to blow into the ignition interlock device in order to start her vehicle shortly before she crashed with her daughter in the vehicle.

An ignition interlock device is like a breathalyzer that is installed in vehicle intended to prevent individuals convicted of DUI from driving drunk again by requiring the driver to provide a breath sample before the vehicle will start. In this case, the woman was allegedly intoxicated and couldn’t start her vehicle so she used her daughter’s breath to start the vehicle.

The woman from Waynesboro was ultimately charged with drunk driving, endangering the welfare of a child, corruption of a minor and other traffic-related charges.

Feb 15: Man Arrested For DUI After Falling Asleep At The Wheel & Blocking Traffic At Busy Intersection In Avondale, PA

A man was recently arrested for drunk driving after he was found to be asleep at the wheel at a bust intersection in Avondale, PA.

According to police reports, officers from the Southern Chester County Regional Police Department responded to a vehicle blocking traffic at the intersection of Penn Green Road and Gap New Port Pike on Wednesday, February 15th around 7:55 p.m.

The driver 32-year-old driver from Avondale, PA was reportedly asleep at the wheel when officers approached the vehicle. The responding officers took the man into custody for suspicion of DUI and later turned him over to the Pennsylvania State police for an outstanding warrant pending a court appearance.

Feb 18: Man Arrested For DUI After Being Involved In Avondale Car Crash

A multi-vehicle car accident in Avondale, PA lead to the arrest of one driver who was suspected of drunk driving.

According to reports, Pennsylvania State Police responded to a three-car crash at the intersection of Gap Newport Pike and Moxley Lane on Saturday, February 18th. One of the drivers involved in the accident – a 30-year-old man from Avondale – was allegedly under the influence at the time of the accident and witnesses say that he had caused the crashes. The man was ultimately arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

Feb 22: Man Arrested For DUI After Crashing Into Home In Upper Darby, PA

A man was recently arrested on drunk driving charges after crashing his vehicle into the front of a home in Upper Darby, PA. According to reports, the 38-year-old man from Morton, PA was driving on the 7100 block of Marshall Road near the intersection of Hampden Road at approximately 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Febraury 22nd, when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the front window of a home.

There was one person in the house at the time of the crash, however that individual was not injured in the accident. The alleged drunk driver was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Feb 27: Woman Arrested On DUI Charges In Lower Oxford Township, PA

Pennsylvania State Police recently arrested a 38-year-old women on suspicion of drunk driving after she was stopped for driving the wrong-way on a two lane road in Chester County, PA.

According to news reports, the Oxford woman was driving westward in the eastbound lane of Calvary Road in Low Oxford Township on Monday, February 27th, when police pulled her over.

She was ultimately charged with driving under the influence and providing false identification to law enforcement officers. Police also found out that the woman had an outstanding warrant for her arrest due to a recent parole violation.
